Nicely Inscribed by the author to Bruce Montgomery, the real name of fellow mystery writer Edmund Crispin: "For Bruce Montgomery in friendship, (word indecipherable), and the hope that in this book, the dark world will be bright enough. John Dickson Carr alias Carter Dickson. April, 1956." A nice association between two contemporary mystery authors.
