Always Stand In Against the Curve and Other Sports Stories First edition. Foxing to the boards and the endpapers, a good copy in a fair only dustwrapper. A scarce collection of short stories about sports and growing up in the South in the 1950s. Inscribed by the author: "Bridgehampton 1983. To my friend Michael -- with much affection to my cousin at Christmas. Willie." The inscription is a little smudged. Curiously, this copy wound up in the library of Morris's close friend, author James Jones. [BTC #93700] |
