Washington, D.C. Oct 1979." Rodino was a Democratic United States Congressman from a heavily Italian-American New Jersey district who rose to prominence as the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, where he was chair of the impeachment hearings that lead to the resignation of President Richard Nixon in 1974. Rodino's conduct of the generally partisan proceedings was widely praised. With letter of provenance signed by DiMaggio's two granddaughters.
