FAULKNER, William
As I Lay Dying
First edition, first state with "I" in the first line of page 11 dropped nearly level with the next line and in the preferred first state binding with the lettering unbroken. A little puckering at the front fly, else fine in a lightly age-toned, fine dustwrapper. A lovely copy of the most accessible of Faulkner's masterpieces, enjoyable on the first reading without the Cliffs Notes. Trademark Faulknerian stream-of-consciousness interior monologues tell the poor white side of Yoknapatawpha County, epic, tragic, and often hilarious. Scarce in this condition.
