First English edition (preceded by the American). A bookplate on the front pastedown, and very light foxing to the endpapers, near fine in an attractive, very good, price-clipped dustwrapper with some rubbing and an unnecessary internal repair at the crown. The author's final novel, about a diplomat. A very nice copy of an uncommon edition.
