Between the Covers

Hardcover. First edition. 12mo. Quarter cloth and papercovered boards with affixed paper labels as issued. Corners slightly bumped, spine label a little tanned and with a tiny chip, a nice, very good plus copy. This copy nicely Inscribed by the author: "Alice, with a great deal of love from Amy. October 19th 1918." The affectionate nature, and early date of the inscription indicate that this might be an association worth exploring. According to *BAL* 12979 this book was deposited with the Library of Congress on September 25th, and listed in *Publisher's Weekly* on the same day as this inscription. The earliest dated inscribed copy was the author's own, dated on September 18th.
