First edition. Fine in near fine, price-clipped dustwrapper with very light wear. Lovely caretaker for a Georgia plantation confronts the avaricious heir to the estate. The Georgia-born Peggy Gaddis Dern wrote under both the names Peggy Gaddis and Peggy Dern. This copy Inscribed by the author to her sister and brother-in-law: "To Goldie & Mr. Wyatt, with our love. 'Peggy & Sherm' (Peggy Gaddis Dern) 1941." A nice association in an attractive copy.
