Sentry, or Beacon Hill; The Beacon and the Monument of 1635 and 1790 First edition. Green cloth lettered in gilt. Illustrated with plans and heliotype plates. Modest rubbing to the boards, a little foxing on the first few leaves else a tight, near fine copy. Inscribed by the author: "Thomas Drew with respects of Wm. W. Wheildon, March 1, 1877." New England history and geneology is replete with Thomas Drew's, but this volume is most likely inscribed to the Plymouth, Massachusetts dentist and historian. [BTC #88684] |
