First edition. Two tiny spots on the front board, very near fine in a lightly rubbed, near fine dustwrapper. Illustrated with photos from the original New York production featuring Angela Lansbury, Lee Remick, and Harry Guardino. An exceptionally uncommon first edition, on the few occasions encountered inevitably spine-faded, a flaw that does not plague this copy. Despite the fact that the play ran for only nine performances on Broadway, a considerable mystique and cult following have grown up around it.
