First edition. Soiling and very faint dampstains to the boards, else about very good lacking the dustwrapper. Artist Gertrude M. Bradley's own copy with her pencil ownership Signature, address, and note ("Artist's Complimentary Copy from Publishers"), as well as her signature in ink on the titlepage. Additionally this copy is Inscribed by the other artist, D.F. Levitt Bradley, in 1947. Affixed to the front pastedown is a newspaper clipping of an article by the artist's father, and a photograph of his library.
