First edition. Quarto. 19th Century half-calf binding. Slight foxing to a few leaves, corners and edges of the boards rubbed, a nice, very good plus copy. Scott's second full-length narrative poem, a historical romance of 16th Century Britain culminating in the Battle of Flodden Field. A best-seller in its day which went through four printings in the first six months. Housed in a custom full-leather clamshell case.
