New York: Saint Subber and Arthur Cantor, (no date - probably 1958).
Price: $1,750.00
Softcover. Mimeographed sheets screwbound into Studio Duplicating Service wrappers. Chipping to the front wrapper, small tear on the title page, else very good. An early version, when produced the title was changed to *The Tenth Man*. The play, directed by Tyrone Guthrie with a cast that included Jack Gilford and Lou Jacobi, ran for 623 performances starting in late 1959. This script Inscribed by the author to New York critic Leonard Lyons and his wife Sylvia: "To Leonard who will be read long after I will (my good luck) and Sylvia as noted on p. 2-1-19. Paddy Chayefsky." Chayefsky has circled the passage "my wife Sylvia" in the script at the appropriate page. Lyons was a syndicated columnist for the *New York Post*, whose influential column on Broadway was "The Lyon's Den." Rare, and with a nice association.
