Country-bred Englishman inherits a fortune and sets out to become a gentleman, in the pursuit of which he is involved in intrigues, adventures and romance. Basis for several films, a 1920 version directed by Maurice Elvey and featuring Langhorn Burton and Madge Stuart, another in 1926 directed by Sidney Olcott and featuring Richard Barthelmess and Dorothy Dunbar, and best known in the 1936 version directed by Thornton Freeland and featuring Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and Elissa Landi. Exceptionally scarce in jacket.
