WEAVER, John V. A.

Finders: More Poems in American

First edition. Tiny owner name front fly, near fine in a good plus dustwrapper with some overall soiling, modest chipping mostly at the spine ends, and a faint dampstain. A collection of poetry by a North Carolinian who made the best of his short life (he died at 45): he was closely associated with the Algonquin Roundtable at its earliest iteration, married actress Peggy Wood, and later went on to become a successful screenwriter, especially known for the films The Crowd (1928), Love 'Em and Leave 'Em (1926), and although uncredited, for The Wild Party (1929). Scarce in jacket.
