Novelized from the Frances Marion and George Hill screenplay. Hill directed the 1930 film featuring Chester Morris, Wallace Beery, Lewis Stone, and Robert Montgomery. Marion won an Oscar for writing, Beery and the film were nominated for Best Actor and Best Picture respectively. Illustrated with stills from the film, and a jacket painting by MacTey.
