First edition. Fine in near fine dustwrapper with slight tanning to the spine lettering. Advance Review Copy with slip and photo of Lampell laid in. A play based on Hersey's novel, it was the basis for the excellent 1982 television movie directed by Robert Markowitz and featuring an ensemble cast that included Tom Conti, Rachel Roberts, Eli Wallach, James Cromwell, and Rosanna Arquette. Lampell wrote the screenplay and served as co-producer of the film. The play version is very scarce.
