Printing plate for the Fisk Jubilee Singers’ Song “It’s Me (O Lord)”

[circa 1902].

Price: $1,000.00

Unbound. Brass printing plate mounted on mahogany(?) woodblock. Evidence of ink and light wear, very good or better. Reportedly this plate was originally purchased from the Work family house in Nashville. John W. Work II led the famous Fisk Jubilee Singers for many years, and his brother, Frederick Work, published several highly regarded collections of folk songs, including the 1902 *New Jubilee Songs as Sung by the Fisk Jubilee Singers of Fisk University*.
