First edition. Corner of the front fly a little torn, else a nice, near fine copy lacking the dustwrapper. A pleasing copy of the author's exceptionally uncommon fourth book, and considered the finest of her "Ohio" novels. Signed by the author: "Love, Dawn." Powell was a prolific, and well-regarded but until a relatively recent and well-deserved revival, mostly forgotten author. For forty years she was a valued jewel of the New York literary world and if you read her books it's easy to see why. Rare, especially signed.
