Probable book club edition. Slight offsetting to the front endpapers from the jacket flaps, else fine in near fine dustwrapper with some wear to the bottom of the spine and neat, white tape reinforcement on the inside of the wrapper, but much brighter than usually encountered. Nobel Prize-winner's remarkable first novel, which propelled him to fame as the spokesman for the German generation that grew up in the Nazi era. The memorable film version won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film. A very nice copy.
