Bolingbroke and Harley First edition. Owner name marked over on the front fly (twice), and offsetting, both to the front fly, small tape remnant on the half-title, else near fine in near fine dustwrapper. Modestly amusing snapshot of the author at high school (Shipley) in 1942, captioned, presumably by the previous owner, who seems likely to have been a classmate. In the snapshot Biddle is dressed in what appears to be an elaborate gladiator outfit. [BTC #77905] |
