First edition, mixed state. Probably later papercovered boards reproducing the originals (which nevertheless show considerable age), with later paper spine label. Errata page is present, but lacks the page of ads; page 91 misnumbered as 19 (first state), "carcanet" spelled correctly (second state); all variant points were changed at the printer's before the book was issued. Modest wear to the spine ends, a handsome, very good plus copy. Tennyson's first solely authored book, preceded by two jointly authored volumes.
