In War Time and Other Poems First edition, first issue. Brown cloth gilt. Spine very slightly faded, and the gilt a little tarnished but easily readable, shallow chip to the edge of one page of text, else a fine, tight copy of this collection of poems, including the first book appearance of "Barbara Frietchie." The poem was the basis for two silent films: one in 1908, the other in 1915, featuring Mary Miles Minter as the granddaughter of the title character. [BTC #75993] |
