GREY, Harry

Call Me Duke

First edition. Light wear, near fine in attractive, very good dustwrapper with some rubbing and a large but very faint dampstain on the rear panel. Hardboiled novel about the detective racket by the author of The Hoods (which was the basis for the controversial Sergio Leone film, Once Upon a Time in America) in which the detective anti-hero Duke Romero seeks a treasure hidden away by the hoodlum "Noodles" (presumably the same "Noodles," played by Robert DeNiro in Once Upon a Time in America). Exceptionally scarce.
