First edition. Slightly cocked, else fine in a very good dustwrapper with a couple of tears on the front panel, rubbing, and some smudges on the rear panel. Whittington was one of the best of a string of hardboiled authors who were published mostly in paperback; he was particularly noted for his crisp dialogue, fast action and first rate story-telling. The best of his three hardcover mysteries.
