Item Info

O'HARA, John

Pal Joey

First edition. Two light scrapes to the front fly where a clipping has been removed, else about fine in very good or better dustwrapper with some shallow nicking at the crown. A nice, sound copy of a scarce title, basis for the Rodgers and Hart Broadway musical which made a star of Gene Kelly. The musical was to be filmed right away but it was repeatedly shelved for various reasons until finally filmed in 1957 by director George Sidney with Rita Hayworth and Kim Novak vying for the affection of Frank Sinatra as Joey.
