The Black Curtain First edition. A bit of soiling to the boards, a sound, very good copy lacking the dustwrapper. The second of Woolrich's novels to be filmed, it was the basis for the 1942 Jack Hively film Street of Chance, an early and defining example of film noir featuring Burgess Meredith as an amnesiac who gradually discovers, along with the audience, that he is a murderer. A very scarce title. [BTC #67702] |
