PENN, I. Garland

The Afro-American Press, and Its Editors

First edition. 565pp. Illustrated with engraved portraits and one folding reproduction of a newspaper. Yellow cloth, stamped in black and red. Pencil owner name on the front fly, a tear on the folding plate, modest soiling to the boards still a very good plus copy of this important early survey of the black press. Due to weight of the text block, the book is usually found in much worse condition, this is a nice copy.
