First American edition. Old bookseller's label on the rear pastedown, very good with light wear in a very good dustwrapper which is 1/4" shorter than the book, has an old tape mend to the rear spine fold, and some other mild wear, but which is not price-clipped, as are many copies we have seen. Essays on a variety of 19th and 20th Century novelists.
