First edition. Slight, faint spotting on the foredge, still fine in a lightly soiled, near fine, primarily white dustwrapper. American male struggles upward with the help of his faithful woman. Basis for the 1927 MGM film The Show, directed by Tod Browning, and featuring John Gilbert, Renee Adoree, and Lionel Barrymore. Very scarce, especially in jacket.
