Waterloo Bridge First edition. Fine in fine dustwrapper. Fourth play by the four time Pulitzer Prize-winner, about a London chorus girl reduced to prostitution during WWI. It was the basis for two excellent films, the first made by James Whale in 1931 with Mae Clarke (and with Bette Davis in one of her earliest performances), the second by Mervyn LeRoy in 1940 with Vivien Leigh and Robert Taylor. A superb copy. [BTC #54220] |
