First edition, possibly later issue, with 32pp. Chatto & Windus catalogue dated May, 1897 (we have seen a listing for a copy with February ads, but have not examined the volume). Two small, contemporary owner names, rear hinge a little tender, else an attractive, near fine copy. A collection of Donovan's popular detective stories, most of which appeared in The Strand. Donovan's earlier book, The Man-Hunter, is a Queen's Quorum title.
