Barry's last play, left unfinished at his death, here completed by Sherwood from Barry's notes. This copy Inscribed by Barry's widow, Ellen: "For our dearest friends -- Hope and Edgar, Ellen, 1951." Tipped onto the same page is a color photo of Barry's grave in Boston. Hope Montgomery Scott was the glamorous Philadelphia Mainline society woman who was the basis for the Tracy Lord character in The Philadelphia Story.
