First edition. Bookplate and minuscule owner name else fine in fine dustwrapper with a touch of wear at the spinal extremities. A dozen science-fiction stories by H.G. Wells, John Wyndham, Robert Heinlein, Jack Finney, Lester del Rey and others. Van Doren Stern contributes his own 1943 fantasy story, "The Greatest Gift," which was the basis for Frank Capra's classic holiday film It's a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart.
