[Newspaper, Lynching]: Official Bulletin. Vol. 2, No. 370 July 26, 1918: President Denounces Mob Violence
Washington, D.C. Published Daily under order of the President... by Committee on Public Information, 1918.

Softcover. Tabloid format. Quarto. 16pp. Old folds, paper toned but supple and not brittle, very good. Mostly dealing with WWI but with a front page plea from President Wilson for Americans not to besmirch America's reputation (as Germany had besmirched theirs) by engaging in lynching and mob violence: "Germany has outlawed herself... because she has ... made lynchers of her armies. Lynchers emulate her disgraceful example." Lynching had become epidemic in the U.S. in the first two decades of the 20th Century.
