Bensell. Page 78 illustrated plate taped in, gutter cracked, owner's gift inscription "Sophie [Dupont May] from Aunt Rebe, Dec. 2, 1939", and "M.H. Forrest" both penned on frontispiece recto, good only with extremities worn and spine ends taped, without dustwrapper if issued. Author's first book and the first book to be illustrated by Arthur B. Frost.
