Minneapolis, Minnesota: A.A. Gutgesell, [circa 1919].
Price: $450.00
Softcover. Folio. 32pp. String-tied with printed tan paper wrappers. Very good with the front wrap detached, a bit rubbed, and two spots of worming affecting a few samples (and one sample lacking). A sample book filled with over a 100 types of greeting cards including Christmas, New Year's, birthday, baby announcement, and "enclosure cards." While most cards are fairly simple there are a number of ornate examples with tipped on decorations, ribbons, die-cuts, and fold outs elements. Also sprinkled throughout the book are a number other ephemera items such as bookmarks, bookplates, notepads, first aid kits, and place cards. This book could be ordered for free with a small portion of each sale kept for profit by an individual or used as a fund-raiser by a religion group and other organization. A wonderfully charming collection of early 20th Century ephemera.
