First edition. Bottom edges of the boards a little rubbed and bottom corners slightly bumped, a near fine copy in very good plus dustwrapper with slight loss at the crown and a little spine fading. Author's second novel, about an exotic specimen of Hollywood male transplanted to Italy to appear in an Italian film. Written the same year that Cook adapted Patricia Highsmith's Strangers on a Train for Alfred Hitchcock. He also wrote the screenplay for Hitchcock's Stage Fright. Blurbs on the jacket from Hitchcock, Charles Chaplin and Celeste Holm.
