Unbound. Large broadside. Approximately 17½" x 24¼". White paperstock printed in black with an image of Soares with a noose around his neck hanging from a tree labeled "Old Bailey." Slight age-toning, else very near fine. Shrinkwrapped onto cardstock. According to the text, Soares was indicted for "inciting black people to defend themselves against brutality, injustice, and Racism" and further "alleged to have edited a Black community newspaper called *GRASSROOTS* which reprinted an article on self-defense - from an American source legally available in Britain today." Soares was one of the first proponents of Black Power in Britain, and was of special interest to Special Branch starting in the late 1960s. They arrested him in 1972 for writing the article mentioned above. *OCLC* locates no copies.
