The Man with the X-Ray-Eyes and Other Stories from the Front First American edition. Translated by Nils Flaten. Fine in near fine dustwrapper with some slight, shallow nicking at the crown. A very nice copy of this collection of short fiction about the War by a Norwegian journalist, some of which have science fiction or horror elements, particularly the title story, about an injured American soldier who develops X-ray vision. Aside from the basic premise the story bears no connection to the 1963 Roger Corman film of the same name, another reason to buy it. O.E. Rolvaag blurb. Very scarce, especially in jacket.
