First edition. Label partially removed from the front fly, a small ink name on the front pastedown and a little fraying to one corner of the crown, a very good copy in an attractive, very good dustwrapper with some tanning on the spine and other light wear. Irishman of title tries to restore his good name with the help of his beautiful daughter. Kester was known for his dramatic works, one of which, Mademoiselle Mars was produced by Lily Langtry in London. His stories and plays were also the basis for a number of silent films.
