Hardcover. First edition. Bookplate of Robert Tunstall, modest light wear, very good without dustwrapper. Tipped to the rear pastedown is an envelope from Glasgow addressed to Tunstall, within which resides a very nice Autograph Letter Signed expressing her desire that Tunstall live near her in Richmond. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, and the basis for John Huston's second film, starring Bette Davis, Olivia de Havilland, and many others (including those in Huston's cameo joke scene with the cast of his recently completed *The Maltese Falcon*: Humphrey Bogart, Peter Lorre, Sydney Greenstreet, Mary Astor, and others seated at a bar being served by Walter Huston).
