Unbound. Printed collage. Approximately 8.25" x 10.5". Folded for mailing, near fine. Accompanied by original envelope postmarked in 1981 and addressed to poet Michael Benedikt. A collage incorporating two images and cursive lettering, presumably all by Smith. Handwritten note by Smith to Benedikt: "Hi Michael, I hope ambition isn't a hallucinogen. Come to this, I'd love to see you. Anna." Smith is a playwright, actress, and author. She has been nominated for Tony Awards as both an actress and a playwright, as well as for a Pulitzer Prize, and she won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding One-Person Show two years in a row. An attractive and ephemeral collage from relatively early in the career of the MacArthur Genius Award winner. We were unable to locate other copies.
