First edition. Fine in a very good plus dustwrapper with a couple of tears and a little rubbing. Hardboiled adventure novel, printed in English in Germany, where the Tennessee author then resided. Burke was a test pilot and later a war correspondent during the war and seems to have adopted the hardboiled terseness of the real man. Very uncommon -- Hubin lists other books by Wakefield but not this one.
