First edition. x, 434, [1] pp. Illustrated with 64 printed photographs. 24 cm. Publishers' beige cloth. Moderate darkening to the spine, corners gently bumped, else near fine, without dustwrapper. With a typed letter, Signed, laid-in. Inscribed by Edward Anthony to the great boxing champion: "For Gene and Polly Tunney, with the sincere regard of, Ed Anthony, December 10th, 1935." Anthony, a noted writer of humor and verse, was a New York Herald journalist, and the publisher of Woman's Home Companion and Collier's Magazine. He was especially talented at imparting immediacy and freshness to his co-authored books.
