Thick octavo. xxxvi, 608 pp., and 80 numbered plates. Bound in publisher's dark red cloth, gilt spine. Bookplate of Meylert M. Armstrong on the front free endpaper and back pastedown, with his ownership signature in light pencil written on the blank recto of the frontispiece plate (plate no. 1). Rubbing and light stains to the boards, the hinges are shaken, the first plate at the back is detached (plate no. 2, with an attached errata slip), else still about very good with scattered spotting.
