Gaily, Gaily First edition. Slightly cocked, else fine in a little bit rubbed, near fine dustwrapper. Inscribed (with a slightly confusing inscription) by the author to his brother and his brother's wife: "To Anita & Herman -- with love from the author of Shylock, My brother -- Ben Hecht." Hecht's memoir of his early days as a cub reporter in Chicago, it was the basis for the Norman Jewison-directed film featuring Beau Bridges, Melina Mercouri and Brian Keith. A nice association copy.
