Publisher's decorative cloth stamped in blind and gold, with a gold centerpiece on the front cover (depicting the mythical Glaucus), all edges gilt. Moderate rubbing and fading to the gilt spine and front cover, very good. Binder’s ticket: “Bound by Burn. 37 & 38 Kirby St.” on the rear pastedown. Illustrated with twelve fine "Baxtertype" color plates by William Dickes, one of the few engravers and color printers licensed by George Baxter, the inventor of the process, to master Baxter's color printing process. A handsome copy.
