Hardcover. First edition thus. 80 volumes with engraved title-vignettes and portraits. Each volume is approximately 3.25" x 3.5". Bound in contemporary half tree-calf with color labels on spines. A very good to fine set with some labels lacking, wear to extremities and some light chipping. A handsome near-miniature library of German literary classics from the early part of the 19th Century. While many of the volumes are available individually, a compete set such as this in their original bindings and in this condition is exceedingly uncommon.
