First edition. Foreword by Damon Runyon. Very good with faded boards and spine, lacking a dustwrapper. Legendary producer and writer's account of his service as a Colonel in the Signal Corps making documentary films in North Africa during WWII. Zanuck, abandoned by his parents when he was young, had also seen action in the First World War after lying about his age and enlisting at 15.
