A novel about a Mississippi River boat caught in a flood on the river. Great jacket art that is more reminiscent of the paperback art of the era, with two crewmen in a launch rescuing an inexplicably bare-chested farmer's daughter from the bechickened roof of her farmhouse. Third novel by the author of *7½ Cents*, which was the basis for the Broadway musical and subsequent film *The Pajama Game.*.
